Pinto Bean Seeds - Heirloom Seeds, Runner Bean Seeds, Refried Beans, Soup Bean, Open Pollinated, Untreated, Non-GMO
(Phaseolus vulgaris) These popular dry beans are produced on high yielding half-runner type plants. Young pods make a tasty green snap bean. Pinto beans are light tan with brown specks and have the highest fiber content of any bean. Popular in Mexican cuisine, they are famous for making the tastiest refried beans and chili con carne. To Grow:Direct seed in warm soil of 65° or higher. In spring, sow seeds in fertile, well-worked soil after your last frost date. Grows best in full sun with well watered soil. Take care, however, not to overwater as bean disease will thrive in wet conditions. To harvest dried beans, allow bean pods to dry out completely on the plant as the plant dies back.Quantity:7g (Min. 20 Seeds)ABOUT OUR SEEDS:• Non-GMO• US grown• Open-pollinated• Untreated• Tested regularly to ensure they meet the highest germination standards• Include full, detailed growing instructionsAll of our seeds are professionally packed in ecofriendly resealable, full color packets made from recycled content and printed with vegetable-based ink (see photos).
